Hallo everyone!

I'm Ellie, Communications Assistant at CharityComms. We're a membership organisation for communications professionals working in the third sector, and we run lots of interesting seminars and conferences - we hope to strengthen comms practice and encourage knowledge sharing.

I'm responsible for sourcing content for the articles section our website, http://www.charitycomms.org.uk/articles/ - so if anyone has a campaign case study, good idea or experience they think would benefit others working in comms, email me on ellie@charitycomms.org.uk to talk about it further.

Science based volunteer organization

Hi everyone,

I am new here and want to introduce myself and my organization. I work for the British Science Association. We are a charity that aims to engaging the public in science. We are a national charity with a number of national programmes but I work in the regional team covering the North of England. My role is to support the 9 Branches in the North as they develop and deliver public events.

I am also developing my role to include rather more volunteer management strategy development so that the whole organization is able to improve the management of our volunteers and raise our standards.

I'm joined the forum to find out more about the third sector, policies, how the new government is affecting us, and more about volunteer management.

Hello,

I've just posted a notice about a free training session that we are organising so thought it would be a good idea to come over and introduce myself!

I'm Jean, marketing officer at Deaf Action, we're a charity/social enterprise with our Head Offices in Edinburgh, though we work throughout Scotland.

We campaign for equal access to information and services for deaf and hard of hearing people. And like most organisations you can also find us on Facebook, twitter or through our website.

We're going through a rebrand at the moment and would love to hear from others that have experienced something similar!

I'm Sara, I work for Motor Neurone Disease Scotland in the Fundraising department. We're the only charity funding research and providing care & information for people affected by MND in Scotland. www.mndscotland.org.uk

I used to work in live music & venue management, but I needed a change, so I moved to the 3rd sector...
