Recommended suppliers (printers, etc.)
hi all
I'm looking to get some flyers, folders, etc. printed and sourcing some roll up exhibition banners and display boards...
Thought it might be quite useful if people wanted to recommend any printers/suppliers they use? Whether they be local, friends, budget (!), etc... as long as they are reliable!

I use Goodprint for all of our needs - tried them originally when we needed some glossed, corner cut business cards and the local price was just too high (always check local first).
Don't think they have any sort of third sector track record that I'm aware of, though!

Re: Recommended suppliers (printers, etc.)
I've just used www.solopress.com for our first batch of flyer printing and quickroll banner printing.
competitive prices, excellent quality, great/friendly customer service and fast delivery.
can't say fairer than that!

Re: Recommended suppliers (printers, etc.)
Hi Ben
Just a word of caution with budgets and banner stands, I have bought thousands of them over the years and believe me all banner stands are not created equal.
If your needs are for a one off event or promotion then you should be looking for the cheapest but if you intend to use the same stand a number of times you might find (as many of our beneficiaries have) the cheapest stands have thin cases and poles that buckle and bend and graphics that come away from the stand as they are only held on with some double sided tape.
If you need a stand that lasts look for a solid base without the feeble fold out feet a support pole that sits in a decent housing (not two thin strips of metal at the back of the stand and ask if where the graphic is applied to the top if the bar has a clamp or grip built on or is it just stuck on.
Cheers
Bruce

Re: Recommended suppliers (printers, etc.)
Footprint and Calverts are the two third-sector printers which come immediately to my mind. http://calverts.coop/ and http://www.footprinters.co.uk (note - the website's Footprinters not Footprint)
software.coop might link up with someone for digital printing in the new year, but it's probably a month or so away.

We use printmeit.com - they are quick and friendly and don't stress if you make an error. They also give a small discount to charity. Used them for about a year now and had a brill service every time.
