Following the successful Scottish Conference in Perth at the end of August, where over 80 delegates heard the keynote speech from the new chief executive of OSCR David Robb, ACIE - the Association for Charity Independent Examiners
- will be holding a similar conference dedicated to examiners in England & Wales, this time in Birmingham on 9 November 2012.
Focussing upon issues of independent examination, small charity accounts, and generally on how examiners can help charities improve their effectiveness, speakers at this event will include Prof Paul Palmer (CASS Business School), Nigel Davies (Charity Commission) and Catherine Rustomji (Hempsons, and Charity Law Association), along with other experts from Saffrey Champness, and ACAT - the Association of Church Accountants and Treasurers.
Anyone interested in learning more about IE - the better-value alternative to auditing for small charities, is welcome to visit the ACIE website: www.acie.org.uk
where the full conference programme and booking form can be downloaded.
Non-ACIE members are welcome to attend, but pre-booking is essential. The conference will be held at the National Motorcycle Museum: www.nationalmotorcyclemuseum.co.uk
Fees: £120.00 (£80.00 reduced rate if applicable)
