Default How to create a charity bespoke Facebook fan page

That's right, you don't have to follow the blue and white Facebook appearance for your Facebook fan pages! At Quarriers, we created a bespoke branded page for people to land on when they visited our fan page to become a fan.

I've written a blog post which was published recently on Technicavita which you may find interesting.

And, if you haven't seen our Facebook Fan Page go and take a look.

I'd really love to hear what you think of the fan page and also if you've used Sprout, how you found it.

Thanks

Thanks for sharing this Marc, I love the fan page. Such a nice departure from the usual boxy look of most FB pages.

How long do you estimate it took to put together from start to finish?

Now you're talking. I would say a couple of weeks roughly, but in terms of hours, you could do this start to finish in no more than a day I reckon.

We were fortunate enough to have a media graduate as a volunteer who created the template layers in Photoshop for us. And another inhouse whizz did the post it note. It was then simply a case of making it live, which is the tricky bit, but Sprout do talk you through it via a video tutorial, it's not easy though.

I couldn't have done it by myself, but you just need people who know about this and people who know about that, ask the right questions and then anybody could get a bespoke fan page themselves. I'm pretty sure Facebook make it hard so that everybody doesn't do it.

Oh, and Sprout costs Quarriers $19 a month to be able to produce widgets, fan pages and use other tools on their website.

Hope this helps.
