We're just completing a research project for Nottingham CVs about the impact of the Third Sector. One of the things that has cropped up is the lack of understanding from both the LA and the local voluntary sector about when could a grant be construed as a contract, and then lead to implications re; VAT. Only one org we came across had a good handle on that. Others seem to be sticking their heads in the sand. Bit scary when you think that HMRC will be looking for as many ways as possible to increase the income for the State and VAT is an obvious one!

This is a really clear guide. Will try and promote around our contacts in Nottingham.
