Default PR and Marketing for an Enrepreneur??

Hi All,

I'm wondering if you can help me. My names Ben and i'm a starting out entrepreneur in the UK (i.e. learning a lot and making a healthy dose of mistakes at the moment!)

The first business i'm starting looks so far to be very promising. I'm supplying live bands to weddings and corporate functions, and it looks like we're set for growth. I believe we are fine tuning a service which offers a lot more than our competitors (and have the determination to beat them!).

At the moment we have a really great product, extremely competitive pricing, a good (but needs tweaking) business structure and we are set up to be able to expand exponentially.

However i think we're lacking really great promotion and PR, and so i was wondering if any of you guys can help or have suggestions, it seems like you are all pretty knowledgeable here; i'd love to learn.... We are implementing SEO but marketing and PR are very important...

Being at the beginning of the road ahead, there's not a lot of money to play with, so i'm looking for free or cheap options (i guess many people are!)

This definitely the first of many business adventures to come, but being the first i want to soak up as much knowledge and help as i'm able to

Thanks for your time guys, if anyone can help or has any suggestions, please do get in touch!

Ben

If you are in Scotland you should try the Cultural Enterprise Office. They have specialist advice sessions for marketing.

I'm not really seeing the social benefit delivered by this business, so I suspect my pointers would be irrelevant.

I can't see the benefit to charities or non-profit organisations of your business. If I'm missing something, apologies. If not, I wish you luck but would encourage you to seek free business advice from business resources such as Business Link or Marketing Donut.

Good luck.
